Gilgit Baltistan and tourism

K2 Skardu Baltistan

                                                           Beautiful Mehdiabad

Shangrella Skardu
Sadpara Lake Skardu
We should be proud that we have the natural beauty, in form of high peaks, beautiful lakes, wild animal and the tradition which is in its traditional form in spite of  the effect of modern media.
Let me describe in short about these blessings which we have and what is their worth  internationally.
The fourteen highest peaks of the world, among which we have four of them,
K2, which is 8611 m high and the world second highest peak.
Nanga Parbat, 8125 m high and world ninth highest peak.
Gasherbrum 1, 8080 m high and world 11th highest peak.
Broad peak, 8047 m high and the world 12th highest peak.
And Gasherbrum 2, 8035 m high and the world 13th highest peak.

Along with this four there would be numerous peaks which have not been discovered yet and also the region is the junction of the three great range of mountains which are known all over the world as Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindukash range of mountains.

The endangered species, which are found in different region of Gilgit Baltistan.

Markhors, Snow leapord, Marko polo sheep and Himalayan IPEX. These species are only located in this part of the world.

A part of these all we have our tradition which is our idenitity and our culture which we have in its original form. Our unique traditional events our unique celebrations.

The presence of old archeological sights of the area with ancient forts and old remaining of ancients civilizations as the presence of the parts of the Bud mat civilizations in different parts like Chillas and other part gives a symbol that our this area was a part of great civilizations.

The depositin of minerals especially gold and other precious metals have been predicted recentlybut some beats like sap hair ,rabbi and ferroza has got a good ranked for its quality in international markets.

In spite of all this our tourism industry is taking its last breath, the persons whom were doing this business are now astonished about the future some of the people have closed their business and those whom are doing are not satisfy.

There are numerous countries which makes a big share of their total GDP by the tourism industry, although they have not this much resources as this area contains.

So it is the responsibility of the state to make progress regarding this field should take some urgent steps so that we should take advantage from our natural bounteous which are given us by God.
